I Love It.....

I thought i would start this thread because this seems like the kinda place where i can speak freely as to how proud i am to call myself a mum.

I was told from the age of 16 that i could not have children, so when i found out i was pregnant at 19 after trying for a child with my partner for just 1 week, i went into the doctor and rubbed it in their face.

My pregnancy was awful. I had a low placenta, hip displacement and SPD. Was on crutches for 21 weeks. Had intense physio (and i was HUGE) lol.

I was enduced 2 days after my due date, contractions coming wild. Then i got sent home, to return the next day to get sent home again, this happened for 6 days. 6 days i was in labour! Yes 6!!! And traveling 22 miles on a bus twice a day was hell.

Then in the end i had to have a c-section. My beautiful baby boy Athrun George Cowie was born 7/10/08 at 1803. I cried as soon as i heard him, knowing he was ok made me feel so happy. I asked if he had hair, if he was ok. My OH said he had hardly any hair, not true because he had a full head of hair! A wee mowhawk too!

After going through such a hard pregnancy and birth. I still look back and think i would do it all over again. Because the feeling of having my son here now, 6 months on is over whelming.

He is in his baby walker whipping around the living room. Laughing to himself, he is a definate mummy's boy.

I love him so much! I dedicate my life to him, bringing him up as i decided recently not to return to work. The money is tight but it is worth watching the new things he does every day!

Yes got to agree it is good to be able to brag how being a mum makes you feel proud without being judged.

Sounds like you had a hell of a time but got there in the end.
I know how you feel i was told a 18 i could not have children, and now 10 wee ones down the line i wish i could go back to the moron who told me and shoot him.

I had SPD, or Synthasis Pubis Disfuction to thoses who dont know, its where the pelvis splits and does not realign, and its painful.

There are many things that can go wrong in a pregnancy but making it to the end of that nine months is worth every penny.

As for you giving up work shelley, thats your choise and never let anyone tell you different. Being a mother first is the most important thing for you and Athrun at the mo. I worked right up till 6 and missed so much, but never again until my wee one is up and going. i aint missing out on them again.

I could tell you each story but that would take a while. All i can say is i love being a mum to 10 and will never regret my decision to to this.

The best feeling in the world is being a mum, that moment when you hear them. It is so over powering!

I was NEVER the motherly type before! Kids scared me, but now me and Athrun can hardly be seperated!

I would like another child eventually (my OH already now has 3) but maybe 1 more to round it up for him and me!

But i will wait a few years so i can enjoy as many moments as possible with Athrun!

Your right shelley it is the best feeling in the world, it can also bring the most heartache. I know believe me, but its all worth it.

yap i know whats it feels like looking aftr kids and yep they give really bad headaks but when they get a wee bit older they tend to calm down abit but not all the time

i love being a mum would not change it for the world

Enjoy it shelley, the years go fast, My oldest is 19 this year and working in manchester. I still rememebr the day she was born like yesterday.

He sure is a cutie.

Oh i am taking in every moment! Its the new things that amaze me. Like how he has learned to put his arms up in the air to show me he wants lifted. Its so cute!

He kicks his right leg when he see's his bottle. He kicks his left leg when he see's a yoghurt (even when its not for him) he still gets most o it! lol!

sounds like hes becoming himself. I too like the little traits they have. Cyrus is now trying to sit uo and coes and giggles when he see anyone in the family.

In here they just nick the bottles, Keonah keeps going after her brothers bottles, as they are both on soya milk and she loves it, quite the little thief if i say so.

Oh he definetely has a unique personality. Which i love about him. He can still be quite clingy to me but thats quite natural since my OH works 12 hour shifts. But Athrun definetely loves his daddy too!

I never thought mother hood would ever be so rewarding! I can not imagine what my life would be like without Athrun.

I do love how everything runs like clockwork. Right now my OH is up bathing Athrun (his eldest son helping) i have my OH's other son here with me cleaning up a bit and im just going to go get athruns food ready. Then its bed time. But the whole day runs smoothly. Know athruns routine perfectly.
